I grew up working as a vet assistant/kennel tech for 8 years before leaving to serve our country in the Army. I have always had a dog and loved learning new behaviors and training techniques. I have trained many dogs over the years and have learned something from each and every one! Three years ago I got my first sport dog and haven't looked back! He has helped me take my training and abilities to the next level! I have been training professionally in the southern Oregon area for the past 2 years.
Having a good relationship and bond with your dog is so important to training. Helping clients achieve this is a driving force and foundation of my training. Having a dog that is engaged with you can help you have the best furry friend ever!
The foundation of my training style involves having clear communication that both you and your dog understand, making expectations for both you and your dog, and consistency -- the backbone of having a well trained pup is being consistent. Consistency is the difference between say "sit" once or multiple times. Being consistent with both your communication and expectations, and always following through. Consistency is your commitment to training you dog, sometimes that means having more dedication than motivation!
